Sidetrack Saloon
About This Spot
Sidetrack Saloon unfolds like a warm embrace the moment you step through its doors—a familiar, unpretentious haven nestled in the heart of Roberts, Wisconsin. This isn’t a bustling, polished venue but rather a cherished local retreat where time slows just enough to savor simple pleasures and genuine connections. The hum of quiet conversations mingles with the occasional cheer from a game on the television, while the steady rhythm of live music drifts through the bar nearly every week, lending a soundtrack that feels both spontaneous and time-honored.
The atmosphere here is decidedly down-to-earth, offering a blend of a classic neighborhood bar and a welcoming community hub. It’s the kind of place where regulars gather around the pool table, darts, or slot machines, sharing stories as easily as they share laughs. The space holds a charming nostalgia captured in its walls lined with memorabilia, each piece whispering tales from the past and giving patrons something to explore while waiting for their meal or drink. The lingering aroma of grilled fare is a testament to the simple, hearty offerings that anchor the experience—food that invites you to pause and enjoy without fuss.
Weekends here take on a special rhythm, especially mornings when breakfast—crafted with care and a touch of local flair—draws people in like a comforting ritual. Whether it’s a plate prepared with loving attention or a perfectly poured beer, there’s a sense that every visit is more than just a meal or a drink. It’s a moment to feel connected, whether to the people behind the bar who clearly know their neighbors, or the mix of visitors and familiar faces that make Sidetrack feel like a second home.
While this spot embraces its role as a lively sports bar, it never loses sight of the simple joys—friendly conversation, the heartbeat of live music, or the welcoming nod from someone who truly cares about the community. It’s not cumbersome or flashy; instead, it’s quietly vibrant, a place where everyone can find a corner to call their own.

We stopped in for a quick bite to eat and discovered the huge collection of Hamms memorabilia. We ordered our burgers and soaked in everything while we waited, burgers were exactly what I needed. Everything about this place is awesome stories. This is a shining example of a great downhome bar.

Nice little local dive bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast on Sundays with a solid bar menu for every other visit. Pool table, darts, slot machines and a small smoking deck out back. Great little bar to watch the game at.

I love how involved the Folks at the Sidetrack are in their community. It is one of the coolest dive bars in the area. Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday is a must experience! Usually the Oatmeal Band plays a happy hour every Thursday which is a hoot. All in all, it feels like family every time I walk through the door!

My brothers and I stopped in on a cold April morning. I was immediately greeted with a friendly atmosphere. The cook was ready to go with her amazing hollandaise sauce. I love when any establishment is about the customer! 5 stars for sure!

Love it all except for the odor the place leaves on your clothes. They have needed a new exhaust fan since all the years we've been going there! Hate that grease smell that lingers on your clothes & hair forever!

The place to go if you like old Hamms paraphernalia. Standard selections of tap beers, nice cold mug, lotsa other bottled beers and seltzer’s. Food items are fairly limited- appetizers and burgers. Nice thing is that the friendly bar tender prepares all the food right behind the bar. Couldn’t find any WiFi there either.

Where do I even start? The absolute best breakfast within 100 miles of the cities, hands down. The employees are friendly, the drinks and food are delicious and very fairly priced. The patrons are America loving folks. Do yourself a favor and stop on in, you will not be disappointed!
